RemitBench

For dental billing teams

Stop retyping EOBs by hand.

When a payer sends a paper or PDF EOB with no ERA, you post it by hand. RemitBench reads the claim lines into a clean table: billed, allowed, write-off, plan pays, patient responsibility. Click any number to see the spot on the page it was read from.

Nothing is uploaded. The EOB is read on your own computer.

Running on this page, right now

Every number shows its page.

Real dental EOBs are being read in your browser as you scroll. Click any number in a claim line. The page it came from appears with that number boxed. Nothing was sent anywhere to do this.

Live Real dental EOBs, read here in your browser.

These are public specimen EOBs from different payers, so you can see the same claim table read out of layouts that look nothing alike. A blank cell means the EOB does not print that value, not that it is missing.

Read it before you post it.

RemitBench matches text on the page. It finds the number next to the words, which is exactly why every number shows you its page. Checking a line is reading, not retyping. Then you post it from a table instead of hunting across the PDF.

How it works

Three steps, one page

No install, no login, no ERA feed to wait on.

STEP 01

Drop the EOB

Drag the paper or PDF EOB onto the page. One file, or a stack from the day's mail.

STEP 02

It reads the claim lines

Each PDF turns back into text with positions, so the procedure code, the billed amount, and what the plan pays land on the same line again.

STEP 03

Check, then post

Click a number to see its page. Read the table instead of hunting across the PDF. Download a CSV, or copy the whole grid into your sheet.

Privacy

Your patients' EOBs never leave your computer.

There is no upload. No account. No server. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.

An EOB is PHI. It holds a patient's name, the payer, the claim, and every amount. Most billers will not upload that to a tool they found this morning, and they are right: there is no BAA to sign and no vendor to vouch for.

RemitBench has nowhere to send it. The page reads the PDF where it sits, on your own computer, using the PDF reader already in your browser. No AI service. No OCR service. There is nothing for your IT or a vendor to review.

You can check this yourself. Open the app, turn your wifi off, and drop a file. It still works. Or open the Network tab in your browser and watch: your EOB is never in it.

FAQ

Straight answers

Is this AI? Will it make numbers up?

No. RemitBench is a set of rules that look for a label and take the number next to it. Nothing is written, nothing is guessed, and there is no model in the path. Every number it reports points at the page and the line it was read from, so you can see for yourself.

Which EOBs work?

PDF EOBs your payer generated, with real text you can select. It reads the common dental layouts today (ex: Delta Dental, MetLife) and more are being added. It reads the first 10 pages of each file, which is where the claim table sits. It does not claim to read every payer, so check the first EOB from a payer you have not tried before.

Do scans and photos work?

No. There is no OCR. If you cannot select the text in the PDF with your mouse, there is nothing to read, and the claim lines come back empty. This works on PDFs your payer generated, not on scans or photos. Ask the payer for the original PDF.

Does it post into Dentrix or Eaglesoft for me?

No. The CSV does not import into Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Curve, so RemitBench does not type the numbers into your practice management software or auto-post the payment. What it does is get the numbers off the PDF, laid out and checkable, so you post from a table you can read instead of hunting across the PDF. A direct 835 export is on the roadmap and is not built yet.

What does it cost, and do I need an account?

Nothing, and no. This is an early build being tested with dental offices. If you want to hear when your payer's layout or the 835 export lands, use the note below.

Open the app and drop your own EOB. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. The EOB reader is the first tool on the bench.
